Study Zones

The library recognizes diverse students require diverse study environments. Therefore, the library is clearly divided into three color-coded zones. Noise levels will be enforced. 

Yellow = Collaborative Zone. Appropriate behavior here includes group work, normal level of conversations, or answering a phone call.

Orange = Quiet Zone. Appropriate behavior here includes individual study, whispering, and keeping phones on silent/vibrate. Phone calls should be answered in a Collaborative Zone.

Blue = Deep Quiet Zone. Appropriate behavior here includes individual study, no talking, and music inaudible to others. Phones should be kept on silent, and calls should be answered in a Collaborative Zone.

Group Rooms

The library offers two (2) conferences rooms with large-screen TVs for students to reserve (for up to three (3) hours). 

These rooms can be reserved in person at the circulation desk, by phone at 972.825.4761, by email at library@sagu.edu, or by following the link below.

  • Large Group Room
  • Small Group Room

Individual Study Rooms

Located in the Foster building, the library maintains ten (10) individual study rooms. These rooms are open for use any time the Foster building remains open.

Computer Labs

The library houses two (2) computer labs with approximately 30 computers in each.
